National Tree Planting Week

It’s National Tree Planting Week 🙂

Come and join Outdoor Learning Schools on The Fitties to repot some of our trees donated by The Woodland Trust.

This event is open to all … bring along the grandchildren, children to help them find out more about our local trees.

The trees are available for planting on the Fitties site and available to chalet owners and residents.

We need help to repot the trees to enable them to grow more and to distribute throughout the site.

If you’d like a tree for your plot call in and collect yours.

Our trees meet the conservation guide and are suitable for seaside locations.

They include: hazel, hawthorn and rowan.

Hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows included :))

Venue: 218 The Fitties
Time: 11:00-12:30

Bring: trowel, smallish plant pots (220 cams in diameter)

Wear: warm clothes, wellies.

Estuary TV

Fred McNamara of Estuary News visited the site earlier today to talk about the rich history of the site and the Community Interest Company bid.
The sun was shining and the Fitties looked lovely. Thanks to everyone who helped prepare, who sent messages of support, passed on information on their chalets and those who got involved on the day.  Unfortunately we couldn’t get round to see everyone who offered as they were only doing a very short news bulletin this time, but they will hopefully be back in the summer to do more, when we can get more people involved
Catch it on Estuary News on Thursday 23rd at 5:30pm and then again at 7pm, 9pm and 11:30pm
